We take immense pride in the products we have crafted. Hand distilled and bottled in house. Locally sourced and locally based in beautiful Petaluma, CA, in the heart of Sonoma County.

All spirits are distilled in our 240 gallon American made copper pot still. We make booze just the way we like it. We hope you like it, too.

 

Sales Representative

This is a full-time (part-time possible) entry-level sales position with a focus on managing existing accounts, opening new accounts and increasing sales volume. Multiple positions available for different Bay Area regions, including Sonoma, Marin and Napa Counties; San Francisco; East Bay; and Peninsula/South Bay. The position involves regular evening hours and travel throughout assigned region with weekly travel to Petaluma for team meetings. Salary and bonuses are commensurate with experience and achieving sales goals.

This position’s main responsibilities are:

  • Open new sales accounts, present Griffo Distillery’s products to on-premise and off-premise accounts
  • Work with distributor sales teams to build and strengthen points of distribution
  • Conduct bartender and FOH staff educational events
  • Conduct product tastings and attend promotional events on a regular basis
  • Support and communicate regularly with existing accounts
  • Develop and maintain competitive information for regional marketplace
  • Drive sales and brand awareness through cocktail and menu placements
  • Manage sales database through our in-house CRM
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to produce marketing assets needed
  • Provide bi-monthly reports on contacts and leads
  • Achieve quarterly sales and placements goals, on and off premise in assigned territory

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Outgoing personality with a passion for premium spirits
  • Excellent communicator
  • Proven ability to work with little supervision and follow directions
  • Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to regularly drive throughout the area
  • Ability to lift and move cases of spirits frequently
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale materials frequently
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Must live in or near the East Bay of SF or the peninsula

Additionally desired qualifications:

  • Experience in the Northern California restaurant/beverage industry
  • Comfort working in a CRM and ability to modify/develop it
  • Experience in sales (experience in alcohol sales is a big plus)
  • Experience working with distributors
  • Experience working in craft product sales
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Desire to be a part of a start up
